Myrto Xenaki, PhD, MPH, REA

President

Dr. Xenaki-Petreas has over 25 years of experience working with public agencies on environmental health issues. She initiated her consulting services in 1995, providing scientific advice to public agencies and private clients. She focuses on evaluation and monitoring of chemical contaminants in the environment, exposure assessment, indoor air quality investigations, and expert witnessing on environmental litigation. While working for Cal/EPA, she provided scientific input to regulatory questions. She managed remediation projects to assess exposures to environmental contaminants with health effects to humans and wildlife, and served as the lead contact in statewide emergency responses involving chemical spills. She has authored and edited numerous scientific papers and books on environmental health topics. She testifies at hearings held by the Legislature, State and Federal Agencies and local government.

Patrick Collins, PE, Vice President,
Project Controls Manager
Patrick Collins, PE, has worked in the field of Construction Management specializing in Project Controls for the past 14 years.  He has worked for many different public agencies and private clients.  Throughout his experience, Mr. Collins has worked on projects ranging from $1 million to more than $200 million.  He has been providing design and construction management support services to the San Francisco Department of Public Works (SFDPW), the San Francisco International Airport and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) since 1995, and is currently providing Program Management and Project Controls support services for the SFPUC Capital Improvement Program, a 3.6 billion program to upgrade reservoirs, pump stations, dams and other critical infrastructure projects. 
 

 

Jennifer Shen, PE

Project Controls Engineer

Jennifer Shen, PE, has worked in the field of Construction Management specializing in Project Controls. She has worked for many different projects ranging from $1 million to more than $100 million. She has been providing design and construction management support services to the San Francisco Department of Public Works and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) since 1998. Ms. Shen is currently providing Program Management support services for the SFPUC Capital Improvement Program, and Office Engineering and Construction Support for many SFPUC construction projects.

Andrew Petreas, PE

Senior Project Manager

Mr. Petreas is a Senior Project Manager with over 25 years experience with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, the Department of Public Works, the SF International Airport, the San Francisco Unified School District, the East Bay Municipal Utilities District and other agencies. He specializes in construction management, scheduling, change order review, resource management, contract administration, negotiations, project controls and claims analysis.  He has assessed standard specifications and directed specification writing.

Anita Terry

Office Engineer

For the last 10 years, Anita Terry has been assigned to the City & County of San Francisco (Dept. of Public Works; Unified School District) for numerous construction projects (North Beach Parking Garage, Martin Luther King Pool, S.F. Zoo, Lowell High School, Mid-Embarcadero Surface Roadway & F-Line Extension Project, King Street Roadway and Muni Metro Extension Project, North Embarcadero/Muni F-Line Project). Ms. Terry assists the Resident Engineer; provides document control; generates and maintains office logs on various documents through the field office; composes and types routine correspondence requiring knowledge of requests, letters, change orders and memorandums on a daily basis; schedules frequent meetings; communicates with other departmental personnel, the general public and outside organizations relative to field office  operations.

Danielle Collins
Marketing Coordinator

Prior to joining ECS, Ms. Collins had over 7 years of experience in the marketing field working in the high technology, publishing and winery industries.  She has focused on account relations, event planning and direct mail campaigns.  Her responsibilities for ECS include marketing, account relations, coordination, and assisting in proposal preparations. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and a Marketing Certificate from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jin Zhao

Project Controls Engineer

Jin Zhao works for the SFPUC Capital Improvement Program. As Scheduling Engineer, she provides CPM scheduling and planning support. Assists in pilot testing of various cost and schedule tracking options. She supports pre-implementation tasks for the future project controls system for the overall PUC. Jin has a MS in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley. Before joining ECS in early 2006, Jin worked as an Engineer for the Stevenson Family Home Builders, focusing on residential construction.

Hatim Ahmed, PMP

Project Controls Engineer

Hatim Ahmed, PMP, has worked in the field of Construction Management specializing in Project Controls. He has worked for many different projects ranging from $1 million to more than $300 million. He has been providing design and construction management support services to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) since 2007, and is currently providing Program Management and Project Controls Support services for the SFUPC water system improvement program, a $ 4.4 billion program.

Marc McKenney
Project Controls Engineer

For the past 8 years, Marc McKenney has worked in various phases of construction, including estimating, planning, scheduling, cost control, contract administration, and field supervision.  He has experience working on projects for public agencies, including the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC).  Marc has been involved with projects ranging from $500,000 to $1 billion.  He is currently providing Project Controls support services, focusing on construction scheduling, for the SFPUC Capital Improvement Program’s local water system projects.  Prior to joining ECS, Marc worked as an engineer and superintendent for Kiewit Pacific Company, a general contractor.  He has a BS in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
